NYT Raves for "Satchmo"

Satchmo at the Waldorf opened last night at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven.

Stephen Strawbridge lit the play, which opened to a great review in the New York Times, with a fabulous nod to his design:

“None of this would work without a top-notch performance, and Mr. Thompson delivers one, switching convincingly between Armstrong and Glaser with a shift of voice and posture and a little help from Stephen Strawbridge’s lighting.”

Satchmo at the Waldorf continues through Nov. 11 at the Long Wharf Theater, 222 Sargent Drive, New Haven; (203) 787-4282, longwharf.org.
