Meet Christina Grant. She's Responsible for Those Bloody Kills in The Lost Boys

Christina Grant, a Union Local 798 makeup artist and designer, has spent over a decade working on Broadway, and this past season she designed the impressive makeup for the Tony-nominated new musical The Lost Boys.

The musical adaptation of Joel Schumacher's 1987 cult classic film, which continues at the Palace, utilizes vampirism to explore a teenager's coming of age. As such, Grant was responsible for making the character of Michael Emerson (LJ Benet) look progressively less alive from one act to the next, David (Ali Louis Bourzgui)'s realistic bloody kills, the extraordinary '80s eye shadow for the women in the boardwalk scenes, the motherly warmth of Lucy (Shoshana Bean), the ethereal quality of the vampires, the childlike "war paint" for the Frog Brothers, and more.
