TAKESHI KATA (Set Design) New York credits include Through a Glass Darkly (Atlantic) directed by David Leveaux, Adding Machine (Minetta Lane) and Orson’s Shadow (Barrow St.) directed by David Cromer, Dreams of Flying Dreams of Falling, What’s That Smell…, School and Keep Your Pantheon (Atlantic) directed by Neil Pepe, Doris to Darlene directed by Les Waters and BFE directed by Gordon Edelstein (Playwright’s Horizons), Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow directed by Jackson Gay and Port Authority directed by Henry Wishcamper (Atlantic), Outside People directed by Evan Cabnet (Vineyard).  Regionally, Kata has worked at the Alley, American Players Theatre, Dallas Theatre Center, Ford’s Theatre, Geffen Playhouse, Hartford Stage, Kirk Douglas, Long Wharf, Nashville Opera, Old Globe, Skylight Opera, Steppenwolf, Williamstown Theatre Festival and Yale Rep. He has won an Obie and has been nominated for a Drama Desk Award.  Kata is an adjunct faculty member at University of Southern California, School of Theatre.
