ARIA MUSIC DESIGNS (Sound and Original Composition) was set up to supply audio and music needs for live theatre, corporate events, and film production. Aria Music Designs specializes in original music, audio reinforcement, and sound effects creation. Their knowledge includes live audio mixing, system design, studio engineering, and post production.

Ray Nardelli and Joshua Horvath are co-owners of Aria Music Designs.

Ray Nardelli has composed music and designed sound at Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Court Theatre, McCarter Theatre, New Victory Theatre, Hartford Stage, Arena Stage, Alley Theatre, American Theatre Company, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Northlight Theatre, Apple Tree Theatre, Lookingglass Theatre, Victory Gardens Theatre, Meadow Brook Theatre, Gift Theatre, Northwestern Theatre, DePaul Theatre, Notre Dame Summer Shakespeare, Shakespeare on the Green, Oak Park Festival Theatre, Dolphinback Theatre, American Girl Theatre, Skylight Opera and Wright State University Theatre.  His film credits include Stray Dogs, Pretty Ladies, and Crush. He has been nominated five times for a Jeff Award and won for the Goodman Theatre production Electricidad. Mr. Nardelli teaches Sound Design at DePaul University.

Joshua Horvath is a Chicago based Sound Designer/Composer/Music Producer.  His designs have been heard locally at: The Goodman, Steppenwolf, The Court, Chicago Shakespeare, Northlight, Next, Lookingglass, About Face, Timeline, and Congo Square.  Joshua’s regional credits include: The Kennedy Center, Hartford Stage, Long Wharf, Kansas City Rep,  Center Theatre Group, Milwaukee Rep, Madison Rep, Milwaukee Shakespeare, Great River Shakespeare, and Illinois Shakespeare. Mr. Horvath won a Joseph Jefferson Award (Electricidad, Goodman Theatre), and has been nominated four other times. He also was nomimated for an LA weekly Award (Permanent Collection, Center Theatre Group).  Josh teaches sound design at Northwestern University, is an artistic associate of Lookingglass Theatre Company and a member of ASCAP.
