ANNE PATTERSON (Set and Costume Design) is a multitalented visual artist who has gone on to produce incredibly varied works; from technologically advanced performances such as Mercury Soul at New World Symphony, to productions of Cabaret and Light in the Piazza at Arena Stage. Her theatrical and symphonic partnerships have included some of the major venues in the United States: Avery Fisher Hall, Arena Stage in DC, The Wilma Theater in Philadelphia, The Kennedy Center, and prestigious symphonies in San Francisco, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Chicago. Highlights of Anne’s orchestral collaborations include Bach’s St. John and St. Matthew Passion for Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Debussy’s Le Martyre de Saint Sebastien for San Francisco Symphony, Every Good Boy Deserves Favor by Previn/Stoppard for the Philadelphia Orchestra, and she has designed fourteen operas for the Aspen Opera Theater Center.  Anne also directed and designed last year’s production ofHenry VIII for the Bard Music Festival. In addition, Anne is the 2013 Artist-in-Residence at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, where her music–inspired installation, Graced With Light, features nearly 20 miles of multihued ribbons cascading from the church’s vaulted ceiling arches. She has exhibited her paintings and sculptures at the Marmara Gallery and Wallspace in New York City, The Shaw Room and Gallery 112 in Atlanta, GA, and the Cade Tompkins Projects in Providence, RI.
